The First Meeting of the Fourth Tianjin Metal Association Member Conference was grandly Held
Adhere to integrity, innovate, work hard, and move forward with courage and perseverance
On May 11th, 2023, the 4th member conference of the Tianjin Metal Materials Industry Association was held with great ceremony. Lou Jie, the Chairman of Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce (TFIC), and Zhang Xiaohui, the Vice Chairman and Party Group Member of TFIC, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Chai Zhongqiang, the President of the Tianjin Metal Association, Bai Junming, the Vice President of Xin Tian Gang De Material Science and Technology Group and General Manager of Xin Tian Gang Cold Rolled Thin Plate, as well as other vice presidents of the association, and leaders from steel mills such as An Gang, Jing Ye, Ben Gang, He Gang, Tai Gang, and Shou Gang, and leaders from friendly associations including the Tianjin Steel Industry Association and the Enterprise Innovation Talent Promotion Association were also present at the meeting.
The third council of the association concluded its work and the fourth council and its new leadership were elected. Over four hundred members and friends from various industries attended the conference in Tianjin, witnessing a new chapter for the Tianjin Metal Association.
During the meeting, Executive Vice President Ma Shuchen delivered a work report on behalf of the third council of the association. He emphasized that under the correct leadership of the municipal state-owned assets commission, the association has been working hard with its council members and all its members to grasp the correct direction, adhere to the purpose of "serving members and serving society," carry out solid work, and act as a helpful assistant to the government. The association has strengthened party building work, improved political guidance, acted as a bridge for industry demands, standardized corporate behavior, provided industry training to improve corporate capabilities, promoted multi-level communication to facilitate cooperation, carried out effective member publicity to expand channels, and organized a variety of public welfare activities. The third council, through its practical services, has continuously enhanced cohesion, influence, and appeal, and assisted in promoting high-quality and healthy development of the industry. For the fourth council, the association will fully leverage the functions of the council and leadership team, continue to improve various services, strengthen party building, increase government engagement, solve member problems, enhance industry standards, carry out exchange visits, and shoulder the responsibility and obligations of the industry organization. Together, they will continue to create a healthy and upward industry collective, promote high-quality and healthy development, and make new contributions to the economic construction of Tianjin.
After thorough investigation and nomination, as well as deliberation by the superior party committee and political review, we have successfully elected the fourth council and its leadership team.
At the conference, President Chai Zhongqiang was recognized for his outstanding leadership since the establishment of the Tianjin Metal Chamber of Commerce and Association in 2007. He has provided practical services and united the industry to make tremendous contributions to the healthy development of member enterprises. The conference also announced that Comrade Chai Zhongqiang would be appointed as the "Founding President" of the Tianjin Metal Chamber of Commerce and Association. Lou Jie, Chairman of the Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce and President of the Tianjin Chamber of Commerce, presented the award to President Chai Zhongqiang.
President Chai Zhongqiang pointed out in his speech that since the establishment of the Tianjin Metal Chamber of Commerce and Association, it has gone through more than ten years of ups and downs. He is very grateful to everyone for their support, concern, and assistance to the Chamber of Commerce and associations, enabling them to go through this period together. Nowadays, more and more outstanding enterprises are joining the association organizations to make efforts for the healthy development of the industry. Under the leadership of the new leadership group, President Chai Zhongqiang believes that the association will become more cohesive and make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of the metal materials industry in Tianjin and even the whole country. He promises to continue to pay attention to and support the development of the association and all its members, and continue to provide assistance and contribute to the construction of the industry.
Bai Junming delivered a speech on behalf of President Zhang Yinshan, thanking everyone for their support and trust in the new leadership collective. He stated that under the correct leadership of President Chai Zhongqiang, the association has worked together with all members in the past decade with the help and guidance of governments at all levels. Through practical services, it has overcome various difficulties and solved practical problems, shouldered the responsibility and responsibility of industry organizations, and received support and recognition from members, various sectors of society, and higher-level leaders. This is also an example for the new leadership collective to learn together. In the new five years, we are facing even more arduous tasks. Therefore, the new leadership collective will take everyone's support and trust as the greatest driving force for the association to continue moving forward, shoulder the responsibility and responsibility of industry organization leaders, fulfill their duties, dedicate wholeheartedly, gather industry strength, and make new guidance and contributions for the high-quality and healthy development of the industry.
Chairman Zhang Xiaohui, the full-time vice chairman of the Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce and a member of its party committee, delivered a speech. Chairman Zhang first congratulated the newly elected members and council of the metal association on behalf of the Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Municipal Chamber of Commerce. He praised President Chai Zhongqiang for leading all members to work together in the past sixteen years, adhering to the correct political direction, making serving members the top priority, pragmatically promoting the healthy development of the association and the industry, and contributing positively to the high-quality economic development of our city.
Chairman Zhang pointed out that the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China reiterated the "two unswerving" commitments, put forward important statements such as "promoting the development and growth of private enterprises" and "protecting the property rights and interests of private enterprises and entrepreneurs in accordance with the". The municipal party committee and government attach great importance to private enterprises and continue to promote the high-quality development of private enterprises. These have injected a "stimulant" to boost confidence, stabilize expectations, and promote better development of private enterprises. Chairman Zhang hopes that the Tianjin Metal Association will grasp the political leadership, improve service levels, focus on self-construction, lead all member enterprises, and take Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics as its guide to resolutely follow the party, feel grateful to the party, and act in accordance with the party’s will. He urged them to take responsibility and be "at the forefront of the trend", actively participate in the "Ten Actions" deployed by the municipal party committee and government, seize opportunities, and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a socialist modern metropolis and the high-quality development of our city's private economy.
The conference held a grand plaque awarding ceremony, inviting each new president, vice president, secretary-general, supervisor, and council member to come on stage to meet everyone and receive their plaques.
The new president and co-president will receive an authorization certificate from the founding president, Chai Zhongqiang, and be awarded a letter of appointment by the executive president.

During the keynote speech, Ma Shaoyi, the co organizer of the conference, the chairman unit, New Tiangang Decai Technology Group, and the head of the technical quality department of New Tiangang Cold Rolled Sheet Industry Company, introduced the latest development and key products of New Tiangang Decai Technology Group with the theme of "Tiangang's Centenary Road, Brilliant New Journey".
Joint Chairman Unit and Vice General Manager of Yuantai Derun Group, Liu Kaisong, delivered a keynote speech, introducing the development history, product advantages, core and applications of Yuantai Derun Group, as well as the new products and layout of the Tangshan new factory. Topics covered included zinc-aluminum-magnesium square pipes and zinc-aluminum-magnesium circular pipes, which were likely designed and manufactured to meet specific market needs. Bo Guishen, Vice General Manager of Huijin Steel Group Zhang Xinyu, and General Manager of Xiamen Jianfa Metal Business Division Duan Jijun. Each guest shared their insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry in the current domestic and international climate, as well as their recommendations for how companies can face changing market environments, seize opportunities, overcome challenges, and find effective strategies.
The conference ended in a grand and enthusiastic atmosphere.
